I think there may be one in the area although not locally enough. It'll have to be something that waits until we actually have some disposable income lol
We have a list like that, too... my hubbie's handy with gadgets but he's got more projects than time plus the teeny matter of him living on the other side of the Atlantic.
From you, not me! Good lord, I type silly stuff sometimes. 🙄 We're both on the same side of the Atlantic, in the same house even. I was just thinking if we lived over there, he could fix your poor old clock... and I could give you eggs!
Thank you! I've been trying to write at least a little something every day. It's relaxing and helps keep me sane. The Subaru haiku is based on a real event. My poor Forester went to the scrap heap, but I walked away with just a few bruises. You should have heard the gasps from the onlookers who always seem to gather around accidents when I unbuckled my seat belt and lowered myself from the ceiling. They practically cheered when I crawled out the window and stood up to walk away (but then the EMTs made me sit right back down!). 🤣
I was happy, too! I was in shock when I saw how much damage the exterior had sustained. I guess the cabin is built like a solid steel cocoon. I was so grateful, I promptly replaced it with another Subaru. Eleven years old and still going strong! It's gotten me through blizzards that sidelined big ol' SUVs! I hope to keep this one going another ten or fifteen years, when I'll probably be ready to give up my keys.
So many beautiful little worlds to inhabit!!
Thank you.
these are great! i especially liked Harvest 😎
Thank you! I didn't notice until it was written down, but I later realized that your work probably influenced that one.
really? wow. 😃
Yep, really. When it was done, I looked at it and thought, "That one sounds like Nick." That's not a bad thing at all! 😎
awwww shucks 🫣
We have a clock just like that! Same make and design and everything! The bit at the top of ours is the only difference (it's an eagle).
Doesn't seem to work anymore though [sad face]
It is a neat looking one, but yours has an an advantage in the fact that it's real. The one featured in my "Clock" story is a photograph from Unspash.
Are there still clock makers around where you live? My hubbie's grandfather had a sideline of clock and watch repair, but he died back in the '80s...

Oh. Sorry to hear he’s an ocean away. Then again, hearts pay oceans no heed.

lol
Each of these is wonderful in its way. This time I especially liked the haiku about the Subaru, though. I used to drive one, and really loved it!

I've heard that about Subarus; that's a big part of why we bought one. I'm glad you came out of what sounds like a bad crash!
