Aha! We have discovered the secret way to kudos and Miguel's secret vulnerability - food! Especially of the sweet variety. Made me want some cookies too actually, so I don't blame him!
I've become a very accomplished cook since we moved to France - my beef bourgignon is to die for. Tonight though we're having meatballs, at which I've recently become an expert.
I shall have to insert more food into my microdoses. Not involving cannibals and errant Victorian explorers, however.
The cannibal one was fun, though! Wow, cooking in France, that's very cool! I'm just a work-a-day cook. My husband cooks dinner, though, and he is an amazing cook! There's an interesting conversation about Indian food in the comment section of the latest Microdosing post (https://fictiondealer.substack.com/p/microdosing-60mg-of-snow/comments).
I do a good curry myself. And I know Nick is particularly fond of it.
It's always good to have a good cook in the house. Ironically I was rubbish at it in the main before we moved here (15 years ago). We can't really not enjoy food here because it's all rural surrounded by farmers, with their lovely little herds of Limousin cattle. We also have a national award-winning butcher in the local town, so we're really quite blessed. I can't imagine not being able to cook now.
Love the Bogeyman poem. He lurkes in all corners of our mind.
Thank you! That was a fun one to write. And I really loved the Unsplash photo I found to go with it. 😊
These are all great little pieces! And I for one really like your Holiday cookies one.
Thank you! When he explained my contest scoring, Miguel said that my Holiday piece made him hungry for cookies. 😂
