Thank you, I'm glad you like them. I've always enjoyed writing, but I'm just a layperson. I have so little spare time, but I really wanted to get back into it... this micro-fiction stuff is a nice, low maintenance way to start back up again, and the micro-dosing Substack makes it fun, sort of like a game: He gives us a prompt, a word limit, and twenty-four hours to come up with a story. I am blown away by all the vastly different (and excellent) stories people create from the same word prompt. Kathrine Elaine suggested I share the micro-fiction stories on my Substack, so this might become a weekly thing, as long as I don't run into too many monkey wrenches.
I don't know where the nightmare came from, but I can definitely say from my 46 years as a passenger that it can be a bit terrifying to ride in a car with absolutely no control over the vehicle, no matter how good the driver is at his job. It was so cool, the night the dream began to morph so I was actually able to climb into the driver's seat and make the car stop. I woke up smiling! It's funny, I've been in one rollover accident (I walked away, but the car was totalled), but I've never had a nightmare about it (thank goodness!).

There's still goo much "stuff" going on in my life, so my time is too limited for much posting these days, but I can let these little short pieces percolate in my brain for a few hours and then the actual writing goes quickly - whittling them down to the prescribed length is the tough part! 😅
